THE SYNTHETIC DREAM FOUNDATION "they who breathe darkness"

agooshah12:59am: Long-awaited dj Robin Would @ EGG!
Ladies and Gents!

He's finally in London and cooking up a gig that will blow your minds away! Straight from South Africa, dj Robin Would takes the best beats under his fingers and does pure magic!

The influences on Robin's work are many and varied, stemming from sound crumbles collected on his music path over the years. Get a feel of his work here and hear how passion-possessed Robin Would tells the story and how his mood flows down his fingers to result in mixes that trigger profound reaction from the first till the last beat. At times mellow, dark sometimes, always deep and rich - his work projects the travel through experiences in the world of sounds that Robin generously shares.

Allow yourself to get infected by this magic at the return of the World's Most Famous Club Amnesia Ibiza @ EGG club (200 York Way, London) on 27 December (kick off at 22:00). Look for Robin Would in Arena 3 and get immersed in the perfect blend of techno, minimal, dub and house, with a personal touch that makes the rhythm melt smoothly into the back of your head.

axlsart1:30pm: Upcoming Exhibition - Postcards to Orion: an Iridian Universe

From July 7th – August 2nd, 2008, The Art Exchange will be hosting Axl T. Ernst’s eagerly anticipated second solo exhibition and sale, Postcards to Orion: an Iridian Universe. These unexpectedly bright and colourful canvases explore a world usually only seen through telescopes, challenging the idea that our that our universe is much more beautiful than a dark, cold and mysterious space. These wonderful works are created with rich, lush colour and subtle textures, masterfully crafted using a variety of acrylic and collage techniques.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 10th, at 7:30 pm and I send an open invitation for you and your friends to come out and celebrate this most recent achievement, and enjoy the work and atmosphere with fellow friends and artists.

For more information about this show, as well as a preview of the exhibit, please visit the Art Exchange website at http://theartexchange.ca, as well as my own blog at http://axlsart.livejournal.com.

There is also a facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=502473816#/event.php?eid=17417308916 if you’d like to forward an invitation to opening reception to friends and family.

Thank you, and I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Axl T. Ernst

The synthetic dream foundation has a new album, entitled "Behind the gates of horn and ivory" coming out at the end of this month. The sound clips on their site sound phenomenal. Anyone else had a chance to listen to the sample mp3s yet? I think this is going to be the best TSDF album yet.

axlsart5:38pm: Saving The Arts Project!

The Arts Project is in serious trouble and may be forced to close its doors!  If this is your first time hearing this news, please read this article from the London Free Press published Thursday:  http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/News/Local/2007/12/13/4721994-sun.html

This is horrific news to many of us who depend on The Arts Project for performance, exhibition and work space. The Arts Project offers all emerging artists and performers opportunities we can't find elsewhere in this city, and we need to fight to keep it alive here in London.

If you have been personally affected by The Arts Project and want to show your support, please write to all city councilors stating the importance of TAP by early Monday or before. Keep it positive and brief (these words from Judy Bryant) stating how important this place is to us, how a vibrant downtown is vital, London is a great place that needs this.

Monday at 5:00 at City Hall there will be a meeting about the Arts Project's fate in the gallery. Please come and show your support. I know I personally will be there regardless of the weather.

If you're unable to attend, and missed the writing deadline, please consider making a donation to The Arts Project… they need community support in all ways now more than ever.

Here is the list of council members:
